Perfect weather for a 1-year anniversary party for F3 Evanston.
Started with some side straddle hops, windmills, imperial walkers, and threw in some pickle pounders from my new friend’s at F3 Indianapolis. Got the legs warm with high knees, butt kickers, and a push-pace run.
Partnered up for 100 each of flutter kicks, BBSUs, and LBCs. One PAX worked while the other planked.
Moved on to play King of the Mountain with partners. The largest hill in Evanston got a workout as we completed 150 merkins, 100 squats, 50 burpees, and 100 star jumps. One PAX did the work while the other climbed the hill. No official king of the mountain was crowned – many groans were heard.
Continued on with some speed work – about a 100 yards each of karaoke, dynamic skipping, and backward sprints. And, had to do it, a bear crawl to the top of the hill.
Ended the work with motivators (7) and some Mary (Freddie Mercurys, dead cockroaches, and 2-minutes of J-Los).
CoT: Granted lifetime membership to new PAX member Dec (short for dodecahedron). Paid tribute to Ladybug and congratulated the group on one-year anniversary of F3 Evanston. I, personally, would not have the strength both physically and emotionally that I have now without HIM. Closed with prayer for healing for ailing PAX, and for safe summit of Mt. Rainier for RG3. Several additional PAX on the mend joined for coffeeteria.
We’ve come a long way in a year. If I were the next year, I’d be worried, F3 Evanston is coming for you.
