The BackBlast:

Eight met in the gloom with a planned extension of the typical RisingSun ruck workout. Not a :60 workout per usual, but :120 straight ruck, for distance.

Pax : Listed; plus credit to HackeySack, Kipling, McFeely and YHC for pushing through the 2nd hour.

Conditions : Mid-30’s and wet. No rain, but we all heard it coming down through the night and posted cause we are that type= committed.

WarmUp

  • Fellowship Lap
  • Don Quixote’s IC

Thang : 2 hour Ruck @ desired 15-16 min/mile pace.

  • returned to AO at :60 for those unable to commit to full workout
  • Accomplished 7.7 mi @ 15:40 pace.

COT : Four of us wrapped up COT and I briefly mentioned the fortitude and durability as focused on this workout. By building our mental and physical fortitude, we can carry that into our personal lives and handle unforeseen stresses better. Whether work or family related, we can handle the fluctuations because we’ve taken time to prepare and do planned-hard things, and those challenges are much easier performed knowing that other men will meet you in the gloom of the early morning to join you.
