The BackBlast:
6 PAX took to the streets after a brief warmup. YHC tasked the rest of the group with estimating when we had hit certain mileage markers (eg .25, .33, etc) and the group was then rewarded/penalized based on accuracy. Each hundredth of a mile off was a multiplier for the number of reps (eg .04 miles off we would have to do 4x the base number of reps). We did merkins, thrusters, BORs, curls, LSLSs, and also found a place to do some step ups.
Learned that Restore is quite a good distance estimator, but that mumblechatter can make anybody inaccurate in this game.
CoT: I’m glad there was an opening/need for a Q because it got me to step up and I might not have made it out to Rising Sun otherwise. Feels good to be able to step up and help out.
