Be not afraid

5 pax for a cool morning jog this morning at Weekly Grind did their morning stroll with pain stations led by each pax with plenty of chatter

While running , thoughts of how thankful we are about having each other. And on that note I did have an experience to share. Recently at church the pastor was leading a small group discussion. To start with an ice breaker he asked us to share someone in your life who has influenced most towards God. People mentioned family members, good friend and so on. I happened to use my grandmother who I lost nearly 10 years back who has been a great influence in  my life. Turn comes to my everloving and she says it is her husband, goes on to mention how she was encouraged by me to attend Sunday service, serve in the community and help out. (Fast forward to today I could use a bunch of those tips!) Back to the present, her response, I was stunned and thankful but probably why she thought of a goofball in myself.  …. There is when I thought we just don’t know when we will be called on to be a leader , to take a role in life we may not yet prepared. Sometimes we might be someone’s hero and we are called to pick it up and lead in whichever form we need to. In my instance, there have been instances where I was afraid to lead e,g, first Q or taking that step to start an AO, but with great fine men in F3 for guidance to lean on you have that assurance you have someone to talk to or have a quick chat if you ever wanted a gutcheck. Thankful for this great group for sure. Thought im pondering this week, don’t be afraid to lead, you will have someone you can lean on and be prepared
