During COVID, while reflecting on my favorite movies (I made an actual list of my top 60ish movies, ranking the top 20) I realized that many of my favorite movies were heavy in tone, not very happy/uplifting. Also, the last Oscar season was terribly down/depressing/negative. Generally, I enjoy Oscar season. Lately, I’ve decided slot in some light-hearted impactful movies into that top 20. More comedies, and even ones that might not be super thought provoking. I often take myself too seriously, and get heavy in conversations. This is making a conscious decision to bring more positivity into my life.
