The Thang

Ran to north to North Avenue via East, down Elmwood to the Wreck Center, and then made our way back to the Lil’ Tundra mostly via Scoville (five(ish) miles in total). Finished up with some stretches to cool down, ab work and merkins, and coffeeteria to close things out.

COT

A few weeks ago during a workout, I started to focus on what was unpleasant and difficult. It was raining, kind of cold, and the exercise we were doing was pretty difficult. I started having a bit of a bad attitude and was only focusing on the negatives. I realized this, and instead, I focused on the positives. Was outside, doing something healthy for me, and weird as it sounds, I focused on the rain hitting my neck, and how cool it felt since I don’t hang out in the rain often. There’s a lot of challenging, difficult things going on in the world and in our lives. We shouldn’t ignore those things but should deal with them, but sometimes it’s good to also focus on those little good things in your life, whether it’s a cup of coffee in the morning or having a good run with friends to start your day. It helps ground you and allows you to focus on bigger things with a more positive attitude.
