F3 Volunteers at the Producemobile

Two HIMs representing F3 Evanston volunteered at the Evanston Producemobile. The Producemobile is brought to the community monthly by Interfaith Action and the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

We fielded several questions about our Lionel Richie F3 shirts and mumble chatter was aplenty as we waited for the food delivery to arrive. Cars lined up starting at 8am to receive boxes of produce and pantry items. Just over 4 tons of food was unloaded, unpacked, and redistributed to approximately 250 families.

Interfaith Action “brings people together to serve hungry and homeless people, pursue interfaith dialogue, and engage in advocacy that promotes social justice.” It’s an organization we’re lucky to have in our backyard.

These are our neighbors. This is our community. We lead by showing up and doing the work. This is F3.
