The Thang

Switched it up a bit this week for a “run club” and stuck to the field. We started with a warm-up lap and then did some “railroad ties” – pax got into a single-file line, first pax ran out five yards, got into a low plank, and then the next pax ran and jumped over him, got into a low plank, and then went through the line until we did the end of the field and back (last pax in line jumped over all the other pax that were holding a low plank at that point). We did a guardian run for a few laps, as well as a duck and weave (similar to a guardian run in a duck walk). Next, we did four laps around the field, stopping to do several exercises in growing order. We finished with another round of railroad ties.

COT

The Surgeon General of the United States recently declared loneliness a public health emergency, effectively equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day, likely only made worse by the pandemic. Encourage pax to reach out to someone to get a drink, coffee, etc. with this week, or otherwise, give someone a call they haven’t talked to in awhile.
