The Thang:

For the summer, maybe we should rename the Tundra to the Jungle… Despite the humidity and heat, everyone pushed themselves in a partner-based workout today. For each group, the first partner started with a coupon exercise while the other partner moved to the baseball field and back via lunges, sprints, etc. Once the moving partner came back, he picked up where the coupon partner stopped with the reps until the specific number was reached, and the other partner started doing the moving exercise in the meantime. Midway, we all dropped the coupons, and as partners, did some ab and hamstring work.

Coupon Movement
Bicep Curls x 125 Lunges There, Skip Back
Chest Press (or Coupon Merkins) x 125 High Knees There, Butt Kickers Back
Squats x 125 Coupon Walk (your choice)
Birddogs x 30, Russian Hammers x 10, Plank Jack x 15
Burp Rows x 75 Sprint There, Side Skip Back
Triceps Press (or Skullcrushers) x 100 Coupon Walk (your choice)
Overhead Rows  x 75 ½ Crabwalk & ½ Hop There, Jog Back

Circle of Trust:

“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” – Proverbs 27:17

Two dull pieces of iron remain dull on their own, but when they are together, they can sharpen each other. When I am exercising on my own, I am often that dull piece of iron, not really pushing myself to get better. Today’s partner-based workout showed what two pieces of iron can accomplish together. When I’m doing an F3 workout, I’m encouraged to push myself far more, especially when I have a partner that is working with me to meet a goal. Let’s all work on getting sharper together!
