Wow this work out did not go as planned, but we still had fun!
McFeely led a Ruck north to Taylor park, at which point the Q arrived to lead some exercises. We side planked across the field, Dipped on the benches and did safety merkins on the sidewalk when we encountered traffic lights. We meandered south to Whittier School where we did lunges across the field and pull ups on the bars. Finally we ended back at the AO for box cutters, Crunches, Flutterkicks, and for Cutter’s enjoyment Superman!
We had some quick announcements about Breakthrough and coffee followed by some words of inspiration:
Compounding is your friend. $12,000 was the cost of a Gunderson Historic district home in 1920. That same $12,000 invested in the S&P 500 would be worth $313 million today, with 90% of the growth in the past 25 years. This compares to your ability today to purchase the same home with a hundred years’ worth of renovations, taxes, and maintenance for approximately $500,000. Compounding applies not just to simple interest, but also to health, relationships, career progress, and much else. Let compounding be your friend.
