What a Monday showing! 15! Great energy. I had fun. And I loved the fellowship with our FNG Junisa “Hormel” who put in the work. Leave no man behind, but leave no man how you found him. Great team work!

THANG 1: 

Clowney – 4 jumping lunges IC followed by 4 merkins IC. Rinse and repeat 7 times.

Plank Hurdles – 3 teams (5 PAX) – Everyone starts in the plank position in the end zone. 1st man from each group sprints to the 10 yard line and planks, 2nd sprints, hurdles him, planks on the 20 yard line, 3rd man hurdles each, planks on the 30, etc. At the end of the group, 1st man sprints, hurdles everyone, etc. Everyone should finish in a plank in the opposite end zone.

Lunge Walk-Merkin-Crawl Bear. From the goal line Lunge Walk to the 10 yard line, 5 merkins, Crawl Bear (reverse Bear Crawl) back to goal line. Repeat to the 20, 30 increasing # of merkins by 5 each time. We could have kept going but…

Break up into groups at each base, bear crawl between bases, circle the bases when Q calls “homerun”

1st Base – 5 Plank Jacks, 5 crab cakes, 10 squats w/ ground touch

2nd Base –5 merkins, 5 BBSU, 10 squats w/ ground touch

3rd Base – 5 Peter Parkers, 5 Turkish get-ups, 10 squats w/ ground touch

Home – 5 sphinx merkins, 5 burpees, 10 squats w/ ground touch

We had 5 “total bases” before we headed back to football field

Jog to 50; Spring to Goal line – BOMBS starting at 5 reps. Back and forth jog / sprints continued to 1 rep BOMBS.

COT – Today my mom would have celebrated her 78th birthday. She left us a little early at age 71. I miss her all the time. I am thinking about her especially today. I don’t know what she would say about these workouts. I suspect she would worry (correctly) that I am not getting enough sleep and I need some new shoes. I don’t pretend to share wisdom about parental relationships because they can be real complicated. I will say for me all the things I found hard in my relationship with her while she was here, feel real far now.
