March is mental health awareness month.
To help one’s self: exercise and spending time outdoors, even just walking, can clear the mind and reduce stress. And thou shall not covet. Teddy Roosevelt (I think) is the one who translated this 10th Commandment as: “Comparison is the thief of joy.” Its one of my all time favorite quotes.
To help others: We typically don’t know who needs help so be nice to everyone. If you act positively toward each person you encounter, you increase the chance of making that person’s day better and, if its someone somewhat close to you, you increase the chance that they will actually ask you for help if they need it.
