Three coupon rucked, the rest did a yo-yo run until all Pax arrived at starting destination.
Ruck w/coupon to two destinations. Coupon exercise rotation will be 10 Man Makers, 10 kettle bell swings, 10 Bicep Curls, 10 squats..
- Group up in threes at “The Peninsula” —> P1 & P2 runs one loop w/ 10 Tricep dips at each bench. P3completes Coupon exercise rotation. One loop for each Partner then Plank.
- Football Field —> start with one rotation of coupon exercises. Lunges first and last 10yards. Hand release Merkins at midfield, Big Boys at opposite end zone. In between sprints. Recover jog back to starting point.
As a teacher it is a foundational principal to be prepared for the group in front of you. When I made my way to Columbus Park I had a plan. I felt like a solid plan.. Then I got a curveball. The coupons were tossed by the Park District over the weekend leading up. I had way less coupons that could fulfill the original plan I was excited to present. I had to struggle with an adaptation of my original workout from that point on.
Preparation is in the details. The detail I missed was not checking the space night before. Luckily, the PAX still got a solid workout, but it’s hard to not feel I let them and myself down.
I have learned from this oversight and I hope this experience makes me stronger for future workouts. I also appreciate the PAX that picked me up today. The encouragement and positive words were much appreciated.
