The Thang

Circuits on the snowy field by the Wreck Center. Each circuit included a stationary exercise at the starting end of the field, a movement exercise to get to the other end of the field, repeat of the stationary exercise at that end, then a hard run (90%) back to the start. All done as a group. We got 7 circuits done:

  1. 25 Merkins –> High knees –> 25 Merkins –> Run back
  2. 25 Big boys –> Butt kickers –> 25 Big boys –> Run back
  3. 20 Shouldertaps –> Side shuffles (left foot leads) –> 20 Shouldertaps –> Run back
  4. 25 Flutterkicks –> Side shuffles (right foot leads) –> 25 Flutterkicks –> Run back
  5. 10 Burpees –> Backwards jog –> 10 Burpees –> Run back
  6. 30 second plank –> Jump squats / run –> 30 second plank –> Run back
  7. 15 Turkish get-ups –> Easy run –> 15 Turkish get-ups –> Run back

Cooled down with 30 second squat and more old man stretches.

CoT

Today’s workout involved going slow at times, and going fast at times. We’re often counseled to slow down, be patient, let things go. But sometimes it’s healthy to be a little impatient, to feel a sense of urgency, to get out and go after it. Don’t be afraid of that. Focus on trying to differentiate between the things that deserve patience and the things that benefit from motivation, urgency, and purpose.
