Recalling the Good Samaritan story – as the Priest and Levite walked past the man robbed and beaten on the road, considering “what will happen to me?”, it was the Samaritan who considered “If not me, who will help this man?”
Encouraged the pax to take the mindset “If not me, then who?” in situations when ppl need a little help.
Moleskin: RA knows me all too well. As we were at the park and I introduced the WOD, I mentioned ‘I have a number of rounds that I’d like us to accomplish” … whelp, we only hit two cause we needed to get the 7am Q back to his AO. RA knows I typically overplan workouts and as I was rolling in from that second and last 500m lap, he says ‘If I know Kodak, he probably planned for us to do 5 rounds” (exactly right), I laughed and started making vague excuses why I was so far off from my ability to time things well; ‘he probably blames Alliance for showing up late so we had a longer warm-up’ (also correct, I did not want to lve w/o my guy Alliance and that improvised workout set us back 10/15 mins) … lol again. By this time I was into my merkins and everyone wrapping up to ruck back to AO …’what am I thinking now?’ – ‘I hate merkins’.
