Benefits of fasting – we do it sometimes for both religious reasons and health reasons. Nothing crazy, typically do a 24 hour fast – Some of the potential benefits are:
- Reducing inflammation throughout body / gut
- Improves heart health by improving blood pressure and reducing cholesterol
- Potential benefit in brain function
- Promotes weight loss through calorie intake and boosting metabolism
- Increases growth hormone secretion
- Could delay aging and extending longevity
Overall really found a lot of benefit from it – I just do a coffee/water fast but wanted to encourage the practice and if interested, let me know.
