12 pax came together for our warmest donut shop of the year. Blocks were walked, poisons were picked, fellowship was had, and feelings, we hope, will be felt.

The group walked about a half mile loop with blocks on shoulders. At every corner, group stops and pax do 60 couple exercises of their choice, holding in plank at the end until all finish. After the first two stops, curls and overhead presses were prohibited. We made 5 total stops. Between stops, pax paired up with a new pax each time to answer a random question.

This past Monday night, YHC’s sleep was ruined by the White Sox epic 9th inning collapse (they were up 8-2 in the top of the 9th and lost 12 – 9 in 11). This gave way to several hours of sleepless agitation. We all have such moments, when we are agitated for unexpected reasons. In these moments, resist the urge to battle the feelings. Don’t cover it was distraction, or substances, or denial. Feel the feeling. Meditate on it. Learn from it.
