The BackBlast:
Nine total (including MacBeth) gathered for what turned out to be a surprisingly a jovial beatdown given the shear volume of reps. Highlights include Cowboy Mouth getting an in-depth tutorial on how to correctly perform Monkey Humpers from a dog-walking civilian. YHC is just happy that there’s civilians out there who take pride in proper Monkey Humping form. Our world still has standards!
Conditions: A balmy 40 degrees at 6:30am.
Warmup: SSH x25 IC; Daisy Pickers x10IC; Merkins X20 IC; Imperial Walker X15 IC. Abe Vigodas FWD/BKWD x10 IC; Mosey to Monkey Island.
The Thang: Repeat of Rancid and Kipling’s Millenial beatdown. 100 reps of 10 exercises done as group work. The group moves on to next exercise after first PAX hits 100. Same Pax can’t hit 100 first twice. The following 10 exercises were performed.
- SSH
- Lunges
- Merkins
- Big Boys
- Mountain Climbers (R-L is 1)
- Flutter Kicks (R-L is 1)
- Thrusters
- Squats
- Monkey Humpers
- Burpees (pair up and alternate 5 a piece till hit 50…cut short due to time)
Mosey back to the Wreck Center.
CoT: Between our families, work, friends, church, community, we all have tons of responsibilities. When something pops up, keep in mind that sometimes the best answer is the easy one. Especially if it gives you the results you’re looking for. Like borrowing Rancid and Kipling’s Millenial beatdown when YHC wanted to ensure some solid group work. Don’t beat yourself up over taking the easy route at times. You may find you’ll achieve everything you set out to achieve with a lot less stress.
Stay strong fellas.
