Fresh off the best day of spring, YHC had grand visions for a surprisingly chill beatdown in the sun. But waking to rain, that was not the in the cards. Fortunately the rain let up right on time. And after considering an audible, we moved forward with a reggae-inspired beatdown focused on finding our flow.
Conditions: 50 degrees, wet and cloudy
Warmup: SSH x20 IC; Imperial Walker x20 IC; Abe Vigodas x10 IC Fwd/Bkwd; Burpees x2; Big Boys x4; Merkins x6; Squats X8; lap around the field and meet in the center.
The Thang: EMOM (4 Big Boys, 6 Merkins, 8 Squats) x22 minutes with variations of squats + merkins in the later rounds. Flutter kicks x20 IC. Big Boys x20. 8 minutes of stretching led by Golden Doodle.
CoT: The prevailing mental health condition of the pandemic is defined as languish: a feeling of apathy and loss of motivation. The best anecdote to languish is getting in the flow by setting aside time where you can shut your brain off and lose yourself in doing something you love. YHC is grateful for the F3 workouts 3-4 times a week over the last year that have given us all the opportunity to find our flow. And grateful for the all the fellowship. Especially appreciative of the fellas who showed up for this beatdown. Cutter.
