The BackBlast:

On a cold and windy morning, 7 PAX gathered in the dark for some interval work. The day after daylight savings, the gloom was back. But it wasn’t long till a celestial pink sky in the east, treating the group to some spectacular views.

Conditions: 32F + Windy.

WarmUp: SSH IC X15 –> Imperial Walker IC X10 –> Daisy Pickers IC X10 –> Abe Vigoda’s FWD/BKWD IC X10 –> Overhead Claps IC X10 –> Seal Claps Ic X10 –> Lap around Wreck Center.

The Thang: Tabata High-Intensity Interval Training consisted of 5 sets of 8 different exercises; 30 sec on 15 sec recovery. (1) Carolina Dry Docks (2) Jungle Boy Squats (3) Dips (4) Step Ups (5) Diamond Merkins (resorting to regular Merkins on last 2 sets) (6) Bonnie Blairs (7) LBCs (8) Variety of Planks. Mosey quarter mile.

CoT: Inspired by Linus, YHC did his best to share the same message. We often get to where we want to be. But get there the wrong way by going through the motions, cutting corners, and not making the most of the journey and experience. We then wonder why we’re not more satisfied with the outcome. The key is to be honest with ourselves. Put the work in. Hold ourselves accountable. Do the absolute best we can. We’ll be much more rewarded and fulfilled.
