The BackBlast:

On this fine summer morning, 7 pax total gathered for a lil trip down to The Big Easy fueled by a N’awlins playlist.

West End Warmup – Casual stretch on your own while listening to West End Blues.

Here on the High Ground – Mosey around the Tundra and stop for work. Focus on form. 50 reps per dude. When finish, dance: Apollo Ohnos, Dips, Pickle Pounders, Monkey Humpers, LBCs.

Second Line Stomp – DORA partner work around the bayou. One guy runs a lap while the other guy does work. Burpee Broad Jumps x75, Overhead Lunges x50, Alligator Merkins x50, Jungle Squats x50.

6 MoM – American Hammers IC x15, Box Cutters IC x15, Big Bois IC x20.

Circle of Swagger – Dance circle. Call each guy in circle to show the crew their moves.

Announcements – Clown car heading to Evanston this Friday for Nantan handoff. Night Ruck July 15th in Thatcher woods leaving from Tron’s house with afterparty at Silver Spoon’s. August 6th 3-year anniversary for OPF3 at City Limits with talk of a ball game that afternoon.

CoT – Been thinking a lot about culture. How it’s tougher to set the tone at work now that we’re all remote. A huge part of New Orleans is its culture. To me it’s all about this unbridled joy, youthfulness, and creativity. Was once told that culture is created in the 5 feet around you. Saw this great quote about New Orleans culture: “In New Orleans, culture doesn’t come down from on high, it bubbles up from the streets.” — Ellis Marsali. Keep that in mind. Whether it’s at F3, with our family, or anywhere, our attitudes and actions set the tone and culture of everyone around us. So think about the vibe you wanna create.
