Thank you to McFeely, Sir Topham, Silver Spoon, and Bergundy for indulging me in this workout.

In honor of Thanksgiving, we did a gratitude focused ruck.  While rucking, the first 5 minutes focuses on breathing in a four count pattern, In In In In, Out, Out, Out, Out.  For the next 10 minutes, focus on what you are grateful for in your life.  First start with yourself, then move outwards to significant others, family, friends, work, clients, community, etc.  Then focus on how you want your future to be for the next 10 minutes.  Start 30 years out and work backwards.  Where do you want to be?  What have you accomplished?  How will you be remembered?  Finally for last five minutes, we chanted incantations.  Starting with “Every day, in every way, I am healthier and healthier”  This can be modified to almost anything, Every day in every way, I’m better and better.  Every day in every way I’m happier and happier.

This ruck / meditation will really help you focus on areas that you are grateful, where you want to go and will get you fired up.

We then discussed the spiritual discipline of gratitude.  Gratitude is a spiritual discipline that can improve your life, the community and ultimately the world.  “When you are grateful, fear disappears and abundance appears” – Tony Robbins
