Tippy taps, mountain climbers, side straddle hops, mountain climbers, ring of fire, 2 laps, 8mins aide plank/murder bunnies, 8 min burpee/farmers walk, 6 min side straddle hops/pull ups.

COT:

In life, everything can be broken down into 1) stuff that happens and 2) what we think about it/how we attribute meaning.  While we can influence #1, we ultimately have no control over it.  But we DO have control over #2 – if we are willing to believe it is possible and if we put out the effort to learn how to do so.  Two good resources for these concepts are Man’s Search For Meaning (Viktor Frankl) and The Obstacle is the Way (Ryan Holiday).

To bring this point home, I encourage us all to participate in the 7-Day Positivity Challenge:

Goal:  To see every event, every occurrence, and every interaction with another person as a positive experience in your life.

Rules:

  1. We cannot control immediate emotions and responses to a situation.  However, within 2 minutes of experiencing anything we must tell ourselves that this event has positive value and we are grateful for it.
  2. Negative thoughts will arise throughout the day.  That cannot be helped.  However, within 2 minutes of the negative thought or thought pattern arising it must be recognized and eliminated/replaced.  No revisiting or dwelling on negative things.
  3. Any lapse in the above for more than 2 minutes restarts the day count at zero.
  4. Challenge is complete when 7 days elapse without a negative thought pattern lasting more than 2 minutes
