The BackBlast:

It was the calm before the storm as we met in one of the gloomiest mornings of the year. Warmups consisted of the obligatory Abe Vegodas and Daisy Pickers with a Rossy thrown in as homage to our missing Bronco. Rossy suggested we go south and a glimmer of a smile crosses Foggers mouth. The forced march commences as everyone admits the lure of the bed almost got them today.
The group of HIMs head south over the bridge, past the park and up to Beloit. Fogger’s real estate tour begins as he stops at the most magnificent two flat anyone has ever seen and asks if anyone is in need of a 3 bedroom two bath rental. He apparently knows a guy that could make it happen. Getting no takers, he leads the group to the next stop. A large commercial building that is up for sale that might make an excellent F3 man cave for only $750k.
Heading into east Forest Park, we learn OJ is an expert on area churches, may own half of Iowa City and is a Pastor. That was quite the conversation.
Next on the agenda is the tour of Forest Park’s finest parks. Yes McFeely, we said Parks. As in the multitude of parks that Forest Park has. We toured the biggest doing 50 step ups at one point. We proceed over the bridge to the next park where at the top of the hill, a car decides to veer toward Guiliani. The driver, probably an Oak Parker shocked at seeing the former mayor’s namesake, continued on without stopping. Giuliani meanwhile successfully jumps up on the curb saving himself for another day.
We then pass the dog park and a small park where we get into a long discussion on what defines a park. If only we had our park expert with us but alas he wasn’t. We then determined Forest Park must have at least 4 parks or one park and 3 parklets.
At this point, we head north almost to Madison and Fogger decides to do an alley tour. OJ almost stops for a lost chair but decides he can live without it.
We make it back to the AO safe and sound. We proceed to coffeeteeria for a discussion of future AO’s, run clubs, and small town Indiana.
That’s all then news from the Krib. What were you doing this morning?
