Don’t let the fear of failing keep you from trying something hard. You’ll either succeed in a new accomplishment or learn something valuable in the process. (Failure is the best education)
I recently saw a “Hard-Rock 100” finisher’s post where he rolled into town 2 minutes before the 50 hour cut-off. In his post, he dwelled on the fact that he was DFL and wanted to try a diff strategy next time. What struck me was how the running community wrapped around him with encouragement – “A DFL is so much better than a DNS!”
