The BackBlast:

Coming off a long week, YHC snagged the Q late and was pleasantly surprised to be joined by 8 additional Pax. With cooler weather, conditions were ideal for a reggae-infused beatdown that brought us to a few of our favorite parks.

Warm-Up – SSH x15 IC; Imperial Walkers x10 IC; Don Quixote’s x10 IC; Daisy Pickers x10 IC; Abe Vigodas x10 IC FWD/BKWD. Warm-up lap around field with high knees and butt kickers.

Thang 1 – 2, 4, 6, 8 Suicides. Partner up on goal line. Each partner takes turns running all 4 segments of suicide. While one partner is running, the other does reps of merkins and holds plank. Merkin rep count increases with each leg…2, 4, 6, 8.

Intermission – Mosey to Austin Gardens. Brief stop at Waconda for 10 step ups for each leg. Couple stops for squats. Butt kickers and high knees worked in throughout. Jail break sprint on final block to Austin Gardens.

Thang 2 – 2, 4, 6 burpees, merkins, squats EMOM for 15 minutes. After 5 minutes, we upped reps to 3, 5, 7 and started throwing hand release burpees and merkins in. At 10 minutes, we upped reps again to 4, 6, 8 for final 5 minutes closing with hand release burpees and merkins.

Intermission 2 – Mosey back to Wreck Center with stop in Austin Gardens for Imperial Walker x10 IC, Daisy Pickers x10 IC, Don Quixote x10 IC. Squats and merkins and high knees and butt kickers along the way.

Babaji Stretch – Our man Babaji brought us home with some next-level stretching that reminded most of us how inflexible we are. Solid work Babaji.
