Conditions were calm and 60* as 8 pax met in the gloom for the final beatdown at Priory Park before The Nunnery moves to our winter home at Trinity. We were joined during the warm up by Silver Spoon and his FNG for the day, Shakespeare.

Thang:

We grabbed our coupons and moseyed to the Fenwick rugby field. There YHC had laid out sets of cones for each pax that were 10 meters across from each other at the half way and 10 meter lines. There I set out the task: 1 minute of footwork followed by 1 minute of exercise, repeated 3 times followed by a 1 minute break. We did this for a total of 4 rounds as follows:

1. Run Up and Backpedal back / Hand Release Merkins

1. Up and back with alternating jump turns / Plankjacks

1. Up and back with shuffle around cones / Overhead Press

1. Side shuffle up and back around cones / Plank Tuck

We then moseyed back where Tron led us in 3 minutes of a yoga-centric stretch.

COT:

The Nunnery and F3 Parks & Wreck is part of a national organization for men the focuses on building community leadership. The principals are that workouts are 1) always outside 2) rain or shine 3) peer led 4) end with a circle of trust and 5) open to all men. The last being especially important to me being a man living in a household with only my wife and 3 teenage daughters. Often, I find that the male perspective is not valued or sought out in my everyday life, so it’s especially nice to have an outlet to confer and share experience with other men in a supportive environment like F3.
