Conditions: Mid 40s, clear skies. Even with a couple of the Nunnery’s regulars out with injuries and others traveling, we had a nice showing. Even had a couple of folks steal away from other AOs to join us in the gloom!
- Abe Vigodas
- Fellowship Jog around the school
Pax worked through a round of exercises (below), and after each round, started over but removing the top line each time. For example, the first round consisted of:
13 Mountain Climbers (4 count)
12 Bent Over Rows
11 Squat Jumps
10 Alligator Merkins
8 Overhead Press
7 Man Makers
6 Coupon Lunges
4 Grave Diggers (4 count)
3 Big Boy Situps
2 Imperial Walkers
1 Jog to Parking Lot end & Back
Next round started with 12 Bent Over Rows, following round started with 11 Squat Jumps, and so forth…
We didn’t finish the whole thing, but we got to at least 4/3.
Circle of Trust:
I recently got an invitation to an annual gathering from friends who shared that they almost canceled the event because of some family struggles and difficulties they were facing recently. Instead of doing that, though, they extended the invitation by offering “So if you are weary from life or parenting in whatever stage you are in, join us for a time of choosing to be thankful and reminding ourselves of the many, many small and large blessings we experience.” I shared with the crew gathered in the gloom a few of the parenting struggles we’re facing as well. These little honesties, to me, feel like invitations to be more fully ourselves.
