The BackBlast:

When I got home today, my sister texted me and my brother to say it was a tough start of the day for her. I had not yet remembered my dad left this earth on this day eight years ago. My COT today was some jumble of thoughts about managing expectations. It mostly made no sense to me. As I write this now, my COT today is about being grateful for what you have. By time my dad was our age, MS had claimed his ability to run and do lots of things. My dad was not perfect, but you did not hear him complain about what he could not do. So today I will be thinking of him throughout the day and offer up that we can all find things big and small to remind us of what we do have even if we struggle with what we don’t.

ROUTE

Headed north via Scoville / Fair Oaks. Turned west on Greenfield. Turned back south on Grove. Gathered at Scoville Park. Headed up garage in search of the sunrise. Got no sun, but the moon was bright in the west. Picked our way home via Euclid, Wesley, Clarence to Adams. Most got an extra lap to hit a fill 5 mile run. Coffee was provided though it may have burned a hole in your stomach.

Next week, the option is to run to Kribi to join The Combine PAX for a discussion. Then we will run back home.
