Closing words – I feel the desire now and then to remind guys what our mission is, so I asked a few questions and explained how it’s been explained to me in regards to the What/Why we do what we do.

First, each mission has a TASK and a PURPOSE. What is our task? “Plant, Grow, Serve small workout groups for men” … which, in a sense, is all that we do : Plant, Grow, Serve.

WHY – What is the Purpose of this Task? “To invigorrate male community leadership.”

How do we do that?? Through each of the 3 F’s, and it always starts with the 1st F : Fitness.

During our workouts we encourage and inspire each other. If you had the pleasure of seeing Cutter spill merlot at the end of a shuttle run or was with the group when Fogger led us back to the AO on a Fellowship Run – you have to be inspired … two different athletes pushing themselves to their limit is always inspiring. We come out in the dark and the cold and in the rain and we show each other that we are reliable / dependable / mentally-tough men. Once we address our health and fitness, surround ourselves with like-minded men (Fellowship) – we then look outwards to see how we can serve others. By looking outside ourselves and helping someone else in need – is an expression of Faith. Living the “I am 3rd” mentality will help build our communities stronger and the more of us standing on the front line, the better we can deflect the cartoon stereotype of a present-day male.

So – as a reminder, this is the what and why we do what we we do. If the men KNOW the mission, then they can each SERVE the mission. So, I closed with encouragement for the men to think about what F3 has done for themselves and to bring this to more men – their neighbors, friends and family.

/Kodak out!
