The Thang:
Inspired by the childhood football game of 500, PAX participated in several combine-like challenges. This one required a partner at all times. One partner to do the reps with a coupon, the other to sprint 40 yards and back. First team to 500 (reps) wins, everybody else does 10 penalty burpees.

Round 1. 500 chest presses
Round 2. 200 shrugs, 200 squats, 100 alternating merkins
Round 3. 300 windshield wipers, 200 curls

Message: We pushed ourselves today. When we felt our bodies settling into a routine, we worked to push past that comfort. Sometimes you have to push past your comfort zone to see what you have inside you. Much easier to do this surrounded by friends. The Combine is an annual test of college athletes pushing themselves as far as they can go. Everything is measured, even qualitative attributes. Encouraged guys to think about where they would score in different categories with their friends, at home, and in their jobs. We all fall short in certain areas. What are we doing to improve? And, who are we being accountable to? Look to the guy next to you. He’ll keep you pushing. He’ll keep you honest. Love this group.
