We kicked things off promptly at 0530 in unseasonably warm 54 degree weather

The Thang

Part 1:

We broke into two teams (5 in one 6 in other). Each team started with all members at one end of the parking lot, but one team member stayed to do blockees while the rest of the team carried their blocks to the other end of the parking lot to complete exercises as a group.  As soon as one set of exercises was done, one team member left the group to take the place of the blockee man, continuing the count from the previous person, to see how many blockees the team could accomplish in the allotted time.

Time: 14 minutes

Group exercise sets (all with blocks):

  • Reverse Lunge x 80
  • Bent Over Row x100
  • Curls x 100
  • Gravediggers x80

At timer, collected blocks back at end line and did a community jog to end of block and back.

Part 2:

Revealed goal of exercise was for each team to beat the number of blockees they completed in first round in second round, not against each other.  Repeated same general structure but to make it a bit easier no blocks in part two and some additional time on clock.

Time: 15 minutes

Group exercises (no blocks)

  • Big Boys x 80
  • squats x 100
  • American Hammers x 100 (this was too few)
  • Shoulder Taps x100

Timer went off right at 6:15 so we circled up quickly.

COT: Short on time so just thanked all PAX for pushing each other, and in particular for the nudge to step up and do more than you think you can do.
