Springtime was in the air and a baseball themed was previewed. The name of the game was throw strikes or pay the prices in reps. Thanks to @RA the originator of this one.

PAX lined up on the mound and took a try at knocking a BIG orange bucket off of a cinderblock (aka “coupon”). Each ball had an exercise on it. Knocking the bucket off = 10 reps; Hitting the bucket or coupon = 20 reps; Missing it all = 30 reps. After almost 20 pitches, we had two pitches that did not miss it all. We were humbled – and tired. (And we never grabbed the burpee ball.)

COT:  Baseball is a humbling sport. It is good to remember that throwing a strike is actually pretty hard much less three. I shared that I had been humbled by a variety of moments lately including showing up late for my own Q as I waited for the last drip of coffee to percolate. More important, I had just led a training on modeling positive behavior for youth with my baseball coaching peers on Sunday. On Wednesday I fell down and got over-heated about a close play. Humbled. It is good to be humbled and reminded that you to commit every day and get back up when you fall down or fall short.
