YHC is reading a book, “This Is How Your Marriage Ends – A Hopeful Approach to Saving Relationships” by Matthew Fray. While a new book I’m starting to dig into, it’s got my attention as I can see a lot of similarities on how I dismiss my M’s concerns as nit-picky and overreactive. I’m reading it intent on being a better partner and this is the start of an area where I can already see I hurt my M (often unintentionally) through justifying my behavior as well intended, yet hurtful, nonetheless. I encourage all of us to look at keeping our commitments, doing the trivial and often seemingly mundane tasks because our partners have asked us to. The results could be us improving all our most important relationships!
