Weather: 58 degrees, 70% humidity
I arrived at the AO right around 5:30. I was on the lookout for other Pax, but my preblast had been aging for hours, with my lonely HC hanging out by itself, so I knew I might be flying solo. I had prepared for that eventuality as I brought my safety vest and running light.
I left the rucksack in the car and head out for a Ragnar training run. I checked out the excercise equipment at the Forest Park rec center (got some ideas for some future workouts) and then headed to the Des Plaines river to try and run on some trails in the dark. I did learn that my chest mounted light will not be sufficient for Ragnar. I will have to supplement with a handheld or a headlamp as the movement of the chest light doesn’t give me the full range of sight I would prefer to move quickly.
Closing with a COT is one of the core principles, so the workout did close with one. It was quite moving as the Q really bared his soul. 🙂
