It was a magnificent morning. Barely north of 18℃ and very little wind. The sky was overcast and our hearts full.
The morning started with Chick rolling in with 1 minute to go and no QIC in sight. To that end, Chick and Sumo decided to share QIC responsibilities. We kicked off Warm-o-Rama with a gentle set of 15 arm cirlces IC and 15 cirlce arms IC. At this point Dante rolled up and almost left but we EH’d him and he decided to stick around. He wouldn’t get off that easily and, as it turns out, neither would we.
After a few more exercises, Sumo lead the first Thang activity: At the stairs, we’d be doing mountain merkins. Starting at the step 3rd-from-the bottom, perform 1 incline merkin. Then mosey to the cement seats and perform 12 dips. Then mosey back to the stairs, move up one, and perform 2 incline merkins. After this, mosey back to the seats and perform 11 dips. Rinse & repeat until you finish at 12 incline merkins and 1 dip.
Up next, Chick had us doing some crazy interval. One Pax stayed at a tree, another was at a light pole about 50 yards away. The third Pax ran from the tree to the light pole, relieved the light pole Pax who then ran to the tree to relieve the tree Pax. This back-and-forth continued until Chick was satisfied that we’d had enough. At the tree was Big Boy Situps and at the light pole, burpees of course. We did about 3 round each until there was enough mumble chatter to pull the plug.
Dante probably had the best idea of all: A nice mosey to the lake where, once there, we would put our hands in the water and appreciate the awesome resource we have.
On the way back, Sumo noticed that someone found and moved our stashed coupon from under the tree to under the stairs. Seeing a solid opportunity, Sumo grabbed the coupon and we had an indian run back to the AO, passing the coupon back-and-forth. It was a solid find. Sky Q definitely had us in mind this morning.
By the time we got back to the AO, we had 7 minutes left for Mary. PERFECT!
This was again a round robin. Chick gave us Honey I’m Home x 20 IC, Dante handed us some LBC’s x 40 and Sumo with the traditional Zombie Crunches x 15 IC. We finished up with some flutter kicks and American Hammers x 30 IC.
