It is gloom season! It was a robust 5°C when Zoo Crew kicked off. We didn’t have to shake off any frost but it was c-o-l-d! We had three HC’s, one no show, a DR (Spud from F3 Arizona) in town to watch the marathon and Sandman making it a nice round 4 PAX. Perfect for a little pain and agony.
This being a chilly morning, we got things moving with Global Warming, interrupted by SSH x 25 IC, daisy pickers x 10 IC, arm circles x 15 IC and circle arms x 15 IC. After getting the blood flowing it was time to move on to the Thang:
this was something I found on the exicon called The Dab. It’s extremely stupid so of course we had to do it. We got three of the four rounds done consecutively. YHC needed to take a break from the madness so we moseyed to the playground for an intermission challenge. This time we broke into teams. Each team had to perform a total of 100 pull ups on the swing. The PAX not doing pull-ups was doing high knees. Pull up we’re done AMRAP in a rotating fashion until one team got to 100.
Sumo and Spud eked out the win just barely. Chick and Sandman held the lead the whole time but luckily Sumo found some extra gas at the end to win by two reps: 100-98.
the losing team had to perform 3 sets of Coyote Uglies while the winning team did AMRAP dips until the losing team finished.
Once completed, we headed back to the AO to finish the last round of The Dab for a total of 200 burpees for the morning!
We finished things off with a circle of Mary. We did LBCx20 IC, modified V-ups x 10 IC, a 1:4 ratio Big Boy / American Hammer combo up to 6 (6 Big Boy Sit-ups + 24 American hammers), Zombie Crunch x 10 IC each side and finally American Hammers x 20 IC.
today was brutal and we definitely tested ourselves. It’s always great to be with such wonderful guys in the AM. There’s no better way to start a day.
