Weather: rain, not great. Didn’t stop these future first rounders from dominating the turf. 7 PAX showed up for Coach Combine’s Combine, an annual event where we display our athletic talents.
Did a little extra stretching for the events given the sprinting involved. Warm-o-rama included SSHs, Abe Vigodas, seal claps, overhead claps, Imperial Walkers, and monkey humpers. Whistle in tow, The Thang went down approximately as follows:
Vertical Jump: 200 squat jumps with partner
40-yd Dash: Plank holds for 30 secs (increased 15 seconds each round) + 40-yd sprint + 10 burpees X4
One final 40yd dash that was an all out sprint.
20-yd Shuttle: Bear crawl 5 yds + 5 merkins, crawl bear 10 yds + 10 merkins, bear crawl 5 yds + 5 merkins X3
Took a light break and did 30 stepups for kicks.
Standing Broad Jump: 40-yd squat jumps + one burpee every 5 yards
Benchpress: 30 merkins
