Preamble

F3 Chicago’s crown jewel, The Bean, was the perfect AO for the third and final stop on YHC’s first-anniversary Q tour. Per usual with this geographically diverse AO, six strong PAX from across F3 nation posted. Regions represented were Chicago, Alpha, Raleigh, Puget Sound, and Lutz. YHC EH-ed his first FNG (The Big Show, he got off easy in name-o-rama), which was the icing on the cake to a fantastic first year with F3.

Warmup

Meet up on Michigan Ave for SSH, Weed Picker, Windmill, Imperial Walker and Moroccan Nightclub.

Thang 1

Mosey to amphitheater ramp for 11’s. Burpees count down at the bottom of the ramp, and Star Jumps count up at the top of the ramp.

Thang 2

Mosey to the Cancer Survivor’s Garden for Dora. Partner up. 100 Dirty Handshakes, 200 Donkey Kicks, 300 Dips. Partners alternate running to second lightpost along Randolph. Called it in early for time. Indian Run to The Bean for some Mary.

Mary

Circle up under the Bean statue. LBC’s, High Flutter Kicks, Low Flutter Kicks, Dolly, Margarita, WWI situps, Russian soldier, American Hammer, Crossovers (led by FNG, killin’ it), and one or two others YHC can’t remember. By the end, the camera-wielding tourists waiting in the wings got ornery and restless, and chased us away from the Bean statue.

COT

Prayers for wives of traveling PAX holding down the fort with sick kids.

Naked Man Moleskin

Today’s beatdown completes YHC’s anniversary Q tour. Much thanks to the PAX of F3 Chicago for letting me Q at Dip City and The Bean in the same week. Looking back over the last year, it’s hard to believe the acceleration in strength, stamina, toughness, confidence, and perseverance wrought upon YHC by these mighty PAX. What’s more, YHC has developed lasting relationships with the other PAX via the Fellowship aspect of F3, and is a better servant leader as a husband, father, boss, employee, etc via the Faith aspect of F3. The F3 credo has proven true many times over in YHC’s experience, that the PAX of F3 leave no man behind, but they leave no man where they find him.
